March 14 (Saturday): The Cavendish Fletcher Community Library Book Club meets at 1 pm in the Library. The group is reading "Daughter of Fortune" by Isabel Allende. The Book concerns orphan Eliza Sommers who is living in 19th century Chile with her aunt. She follows her lover to California during the Gold Rush of 1849 and discovers "a new life of freedom, independence and a love greater than any ever dreamed".

March 21 (Saturday): Welcome Spring Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner, Silent Auction and Bingo to benefit the Cavendish Historical Society and the Cavendish Community and Conservation Association. Dinner begins at 6 pm, with Bingo starting at 7 pm. Tickets for the dinner are $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, free for under 6.
