2. Baked Items Needed by Black River Good Neighbor Services
Black River Good Neighbor Services will be participating in the Ludlow Zucchini Festival on August 14th at the Veterans Memorial Park in Ludlow and is asking for help.
Audrey Bridge, Director of BRGNS Food Shelf and Thrift Shop is asking anyone who can to please bring baked goods to the store on Friday August 13th or directly to our booth on Saturday August 14th. Audrey said “All home baked goods including jelly or jam are greatly appreciated. Items made with zucchini as an ingredient were very popular last year and our community bakers showed great creativity. We’re relying on the community for even more support this year.”
Please call the Thrift Shop, which is located at 105 Main Street in Ludlow with any questions at 802-228-3663. Store hours are 10am to 4pm Monday through Saturday.
3. Wednesday Concert Features Dana and Susan Robinson
The Cavendish Community and Conservation Association invites everyone to come to the Proctorsville Green for the continuing summer music series on Wednesday, July 28th at 6:00 p.m. to hear Dana and Susan Robinson.
Originally from North Carolina and now from Vermont, Dana and Susan Robinson bring to the stage an exciting blend of original songs of the American landscape and old time Appalachian mountain music. With Dana on guitar and fiddle, and Susan on banjo and singing harmony, they bring a joyful energy to their concerts. While they are internationally known, their music is the sound and feel of bedrock America.
This concert will be the fourth in this year’s series that are held on consecutive Wednesday nights in July and August. Come and enjoy a warm summer evening with your neighbors and friends in front of the gazebo on the green. Relax in the grass on your blanket or favorite lawn chair – have a picnic or just listen to the music.
As always, the concerts are free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine. In case of inclement weather the performance will move to the Cavendish town elementary school on Main Street just up from the Green.
