Select Board Meeting Agenda 7/9/13


The July 9 Selectmens Meeting, Monday, will be in the Cavendish Town Office Meeting Room at 6:30 pm. The Agenda will be as follows

  1. Call the Meeting to Order
  2. Consider the minutes of the meeting of June 10th and June 24th, 2013
  3. Sign Orders
  4. Review Correspondence
  5. Adjust agenda
  6. Hear Citizens
  7. Report on recent storm damage to town roads.
  8. Review Proposal of Jeff Bradley, CPA for Single Audit for FY13. Mr. Bradley is currently completing the Single Audit for FY12.
  9. Town Manager to distribute calculation sheet for FY14 (2013-2014 tax year) Town of Cavendish Taxes. Selectmen to review calculation sheet for approval and setting of the FY14 Town Tax Rate. Tax bills are scheduled to be issued on or about July 12th, with the first quarterly due date being August 15th, 2013.
  10. Review of final plans for Cavendish ER BRF 0146(13) the VTrans replacement of State Highway Bridge #1 on Rt 131 in Whitesville. VTrans has requested comments from the Town of Cavendish on said plans.
  11. Town Manager to discuss final plans for the Class II paving program after consideration of resurfacing bid results (SB 6/24/13.)
  12. Continuation of discussion regarding Fire Warden Roger Sheehans request for the appointment of Robert W. Glidden as Assistant Cavendish Fire Warden (item #13 of the 6-10-13 meeting.)
  13. Update on progress/developments on the Staley property on Mill Street
  14. Continuation of discussions/review proposal from Cassella Waste on Zero-SortRecycling and site improvement plans.
  15. Update on various town activities including (but not limited to): Peter Thurrell of Soveren proposal on the solar farm project; water bond financing activities/progress; E911 address signs; Bridge #37, Roadside mowing, etc.
  16. Other business
